Step 1: Focus on the Fix
The first step in improving your body contour is to focus on what you want to enhance. Do you have excess fat mainly in your abdomen? Love handles? Or are you noticing unwanted fat all the way around your midsection? As the name implies, 360 liposuction can address your entire torso.
Step 2: Consultation
If you think you might be a candidate for 360 liposuction, schedule a visit with Dr. Gordon Andan. He’ll perform an examination and review your goals. Many people pair lipo with other cosmetic procedures, such as a Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck, or even breast augmentation, to achieve the look they really want.
Step 3: Decide and Schedule
After your consult, you’ll be given an estimate of cost and more information about cosmetic surgery financing, procedure scheduling, and other aspects of moving forward. You’ll never be pressured into scheduling a procedure the same day. Take the time you need to think about what makes the most sense for you.
Step 4: Procedure Prep
If you decide to move forward with 360 lipo, you’ll be given a surgery date and instructions on getting ready for your procedure. You’ll arrive at our AAAHC accredited operating facility and go through pre-surgery preparation. You’ll be given general anesthesia so you can sleep comfortably through the procedure.
Step 5: Incisions
To begin the liposuction procedure, Dr. Andan makes a series of small incisions around the area to be treated. He injects a special solution of sterile salt water and a local anesthetic to prepare the unwanted fat cells for extraction and maximize comfort during recovery.
Step 6: Fat Extraction
Fat cell extraction is achieved through the use of a small, hollow tube called a cannula, which Dr. Andan carefully inserts through the small incisions. This device suctions away stubborn fat cells all around your midsection while simultaneously sculpting and shaping your contours.
Step 7: Initial Recovery
For the first few days after your procedure, you can expect some amount of swelling, bruising and tenderness. You’ll receive detailed recovery guidelines, including activity limitations and how and when to wear your compression garment (which keeps swelling to a minimum and improves results).
Step 8: Enjoy Your Results
Now for the fun part! You should notice an improvement in your body shape and the way your clothes fit soon after your 360° lipo procedure. Because swelling can last for several months, your final results will take time. As the swelling goes away, it reveals a slimmer midsection and better-contoured shape.
